Recently I received a video tutorial showing how to add water texture to a SketchUp file. I thought it was well explained. It looked very real when rendering lake water. I felt it didn't look correct, though, when rendering pool water. I played with the settings and came up with this image:

I set it up just as the vdeo directs except using the rubble setting with scale 100 (it changes to 99.998) and strength .1

I feel the ripples are more in line with water in a small pool.

I then retextured the original water with the water texture in SketchUp (still using scale 100 and .1) and came up with this image:

Hope this info is useful for others.

Thanks, that does look more like pool water.
