Hi All,
I'm about to start learning more about rendering animations and was wondering if there where any tutorials available!
Any information on how to get started will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Thank you Rich, thats great.
Apart from that I still can't seem to be able to do an animation! I did check to see whether I had the correct codec which I do, so really not sure what to do now!
Thanks
Fred
Does anybody know whether if I was to remove irender off my machine and then re-install it but as a 32 bit version whether this would work?
Apologies for all the questions but I'm not very good when it comes to computers!!!
Thank you in advance.
Fred
There is not a way to install it as a 32 bit version. The install installs both a 32 bit and a 64 bit version of the renderer. You can use our support dialog to specify that you want to run in 32 bit (assuming that you are on a 64 machne, otherwise it always runs in 32 bit mode on a 32 bit machine.) That check box is on the Support dialog, available by clicking on "Support" on the Options/More tab.
But, could you try the latest version that we posted yesterday, KG15, and see if that helps? Just install it over your current version.
You can download and install it from:
Hi Rich,
I've just downloaded the KG15 but as my license has run out and it is asking for me to re-new my license, which is fine but I was hoping that I could run the trial version first to see if it would solve the problem before re-newing the license! is there anyway of doing this?
Many thanks
Fred
Hi Rich,
It did work! But its not rendering very well! When it has finished rendering and you play the animation you can see all the pixals!! I've attached the movie so you can see what I mean!
Regards
Fred
Yes, it looks like it was rendered to a very small image.
What was the resolution on the animation dialog set to?
Hi Rich,
I've attached a screen shot of the settings tab for you to see!
So it should have been OK, the images should have been 900x426 pixels, and not so pixelated.
So perhaps is still the codec that's causing problems.
Would you do a test and use jpgs as the output files, and then zip up the folder of jpegs that get created and send it to me? You just need to set the output to "Plastic Chair.jpg" instaead of "Plastic Chair.avi", and do the animation again.
I'll stitch the images together as an avi file here and see what I get.
Hi Rich,
All attached!
Would you download and install this version and try it again?

For some reason your animation was being with a different codec that we intended. We should be using the Cinepak codec, but your animation was made with the MSVC codec, which should only be used if the 64 bit renderer is used for making the animation, which shouldn't happen...
In this version I made sure that we always use the Cinepak codec.
