I am working on this fun model and am starting to texture and render it.

I am having on-going trouble with one material  (See pic below)

Normals are in the right direction and the "eye window" on the other side of the ship renders fine.

I pulled the component out and it renders OK by itself...??

Any ideas?  I am trying not to explode the model too much but it is nested several layers deep.

PS  Loving all the new features!!!

It's probably a face in a group that has been mirrored, so the group is placed at a negative scale and we are using the material on the wrong side of the face. This is something we would need to trace down and fix in the software.

Until we trace it down and get it fixed, if you can drill down and edit the faces so that the same material is on both the front and reverse sides of the face, you should be able to fix it without exploding everything.
Can you send me the model, so I can trace down the problem?

You diagnostic skills are impeccable!  It is mirrored, I'll follow your suggestion, and give it a go.

Thank you!

Still, if you could send me the model, or just the front piece, I could see if it's something we can fix.
