In the "Select Material to Place or Edit" dialog, the material is not displaying when selected and in the thumbnail view only black squares appear.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rick

How did you get that error, by typing in "regsvr32 ArMatThumb.dll"?

Also, does your ArMatThumbdll show this Modified date, 10/30/2010, in the properties dialog?

Yes, it does.

When i select the paintbucket symbol in the meny, i got to Load .ArMaterial.

Here i got 2 buttons Load from User area and Load from Library.

When i use this i can only look at 1 material at the time, no browser.

When i use "more funktions" and button Load Material from AR3 Material Library, i got an empty browser.

Does this gives any lead.

I believe that the ArMatThumb.dll din't load correctly. I asked you if you got the error below

The module "ArMatThumb.dll" was loaded but the call to DLLRegister server failed with errorcode 0x80070005

when you typed in "regsvr32 ArMatThumb.dll"? Is that when you got it?

Yes, i got that error when i typed "regsvr32 ArMatThumb.dll"

And thanks so mush for all the support and that you try to solve this

Have a nice weekend /Thomas

Thomas,

Did this work for you before, and then stopped working when you installed a new release?

Or did it never work for you?

well hade a sketchup 7.0 and irender that worked ok, i could browse material.

After upgrade to 8.0 and new updated render the browser does not work, but i like the product so it would be nice if that worked.

Could you run regsvr32 again, but use the /u option the first time to uninstall the dll, like this:

Open a command window and go to the folder:

C:\Windows\Sysem32

and type in and enter:

regsvr32 /u ArMatThumb.dll

to unregister the dll. And then type in:

regsvr32 ArMatThumb.dll

and see if you get the same error.

Thomas,

Also, please try running regsvr32 from an elevated command prompt (right-click on Command Prompt and click Run as Administrator), when you run it as explained above.
It may be that you need Administrator permissions to register the dll.

I must be doing somthing wrong, how do i "Load from Library"

I got a explorer window, and can select only material at the time.

The "Load from Library" function does bring up a Windows Explorer browser to let you select one material from the disk, so it doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong.
