I am running Sketchup Make 2014 on a Windows 8.1 computer. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro X and on Sept. 1, 2014, I purchased RPS 3D PDF. When I select a transparent background from your software dialog box, the finished PDF displays the Adobe worded background behind my image that indicates I should download the latest Adobe Acrobat software, which I have. I get the same if I open the file with the latest version of Adobe Reader.
When I add pages to my RPS 3D PDF model file, I get the same notification words as the default pictures in the pages layout in the left-hand sidebar. I don't care so much about the sidebar, but would really like to be able to use the gridlines feature in Adobe. The image from RPS 3D PDF presents with the background laid OVER the gridlines.
I have re-installed your software, and verified that I have the latest version.
On a second note: I'm experiencing difficulty with the file names for my models. If I change the file name, RPS 3D still deletes my previous created file. (No, that's not correct, it EMPTIES the file.)
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

When "make background transparent" is checked, then the image selected to be the "Model Image" on the Images tab is shown, instead of the background color. By default, the Model Image is set the be the SketchUp View that you see in SketchUp. This appears to be broken in the latest version. I'll fix that, and post a new version.
Meanwhile, try selecting "None" for the Model Image, so that you just see whatever is in the PDF page as the background. Or you can use Browse to select a background image of your own, but setting that to "None" should fix it so that you see the grid lines.
I'll also fix the problem with setting a different file name. I hadn't noticed that before. As a work around, after you enter a new file name, try clicking on the "U3D" radio button and then click the "PDF" radio button again. That seems to fix the problem so that we don't start to overwrite the old file.
Rich, thanks for the timely reply and work-arounds. With the file name dilemma solved, I now address the transparent background. Selecting "None" for the Model Image works after the file sits open for a few minutes, but once I adjust the image to center, zoom, etc., the gridwork falls behind the white background once again and never reappears. I checked my resources, and have tons available, so I don't quite understand the initial delay and the disappearance once the model is modified.
{Edit} The gridwork finally reappeared, but it took several minutes, which will make the process fairly tiresome.
Ah... if I select an Adobe tool the grid comes back right away. I can work with this for now. Thanks for your assistance!
