When I render an animation with a scene that has artificial lighting the animation is way to 'bright' and looks a bit 'washed out'.

Is there a way of setting up the illumination level for the scene prior to rendering ?

I have included 2 images.

1 is a single frame render with the lighting effect I want to achieve.

2 is a screen shot of a frame of the animation.

Regards

Mike

You can get the statistics dialog from our About Box, Statistics button, but it should be a right click on the Title bar also (in the rendering window):

Hi Rich.

I wondered if the problems I was having was something to do with that specific file rendering on my particular computer.

To test I started a brand new Sketchup file with new geometry and then ran through the procedures we have previously discussed.

Everything worked exactly as it should !

The brightness slider updated the brightness dialogue, a new render prompted for a settings update and rendered correctly and the animation prompted for a settings update and again rendered exactly as I wanted based on the previous render brightness settings.

I appreciate the time and effort you have put into helping me, it seems to me the problem is local to my machine and confined to the one file so I guess we could leave it there.

Regards

Mike
