This query was passed on to us from a query on SketchUcation:
We have a sketchup 8 model we would like rendered in iRender nxt at a high resolution
the printer has requested 150 dpi for a 20 ft x 8 ft wall muralthis equates to 36,000 x 14,400 pixelsmy computer will not handle even close to that, it struggles at full screen resolutionthe sketchup model will be complete next week and we'll need a quick turn around.

35,000 x 14,400 is 504 million total pixels. Technically it would be possible to process this large an image if you had a 64-bit processor and enough ram. But it would take almost forever. For instance, if it took 10 minutes to process a 1,000 x 1,000 - 1 million pixel image, it would take 500 times as long - 5,000 minutes - or 3 days to process this one.
Try making the resolution much smaller - say 30 dots per inch - then you will only need 7,200 x 2,880 pixels - 20 million pixels. This will render 25 times faster and may have a chance if you can get a 64 but processor with 8 GB RAM or so.
