This model rendered fine, then added some landscape and the whole world blew up!

This is from your new version for SU2014

Thanks for your assistance

Any chance that you could send me that model, so that I could reproduce this?

Rich:

It turns out that a single plant component was the culprit. By process of elimination I deleted and put back the various plants in the model. Once I found the "bad, bad" component, everything is fine. Oddly, I've used this plant in many other renderings and had no issue.

I've attached the plant component, the model is way too big for your limit.

Yeah, it extracts and renders OK in SketchUp 2013, but not in SketchUp 14.

I notice that If I extract the texture image from that material in SketchUp 14, rename it from:

   agapanthus.alacali.jpg

to simply:

   agapanthus.jpg

then it render OK for me in SketchUp 2014.

So you might be able to do something like that and resave the component.

Rich:

That sounds good...........only, how do you extract the image? I'm sure it's likely simple but I have no real clue. Let me know how to go about this.

Thanks,

Chris

From the SketchUp Materials dialog, select the material in the model and use the Edit tecture image  button to open it in an image editor, then save it with any name you want, then reload it in as the texture for the SketchUp material.

We'll see if this is something we can fix here for a new release..

Rich:

Thanks,

Can you tell me what program you are using to put the arrows onto your images? It would be of great value to me.

Thanks,

Chris

Yeah, it's pretty handy.

We posted a new version with a fix for this.

Please try the latest version:

Rich:

The new version works fine. Thanks
