For some reason when I try to edit a material for the first time in a file, the 'Edit Material' box does not come up.  The 'Material Properties' box displays instead.  When I go to re-edit a material, the correct dialog box displays.  Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

We'll look into this.

Are you using nXtRender or IRender nXt? (The Edit Materials dialog should not appear at all in nXtRender.)

I am using IRender nXt version JL29nxt.  I have found that on models that I had previously edited materials, I am able to re-edit them.  On materials that I am editing for the first time in the file, the Material Properties dialog appears.

Another thing to mention is that multiple users use this machine, however my user account is the only one that is experiencing this issue.

Thanks,

Would you go to the Plugins/IRender nXt/Support dialog, and see if "Use nXtRender material editor" is checked on the Debug tab?
The "Use nXtRender material editor" box is checked.
Uncheck it an see if things work better. (It is only supposed to be checked when we are testing the dialog)
That worked.  Thank you for your assistance.
