Hi, I want to know how to create materials that I can use repeatedly, that look like realistic woodgrain. I cant make the texture feature work properly.

The example below is American Walnut. What i would really like to do is to be able to add this finish to my furniture pieces, without it becoming tiled. Maybe there are plugins to stretch a texture?

There would be a small bump on this grain - very small - that would affect the texture a bit.

Can someone help me how to create a setting that can be saved.

One source of tileable wood textures is Arroway.

See: Arroway Textures

These textures contain bump maps, reflectivity, etc.

We provide low-res versions of these textures in our IRender nXt Material library, which you can use, and then purchase the high-res versions if you want even higher quality.

See: Arroway Textures in IRender nXt

Here is the Arroway sample image for a texture:

Thanks Al, very helpful. Irender is an excellent program. Mission accomplished

Is that an Arroway texture then?
