When using iRender nXt,  can I use my own created lighting ?  Or do I have to use the lighting provided in the software ?

You can create your own lighting by either placing one of our lights, either in a component or just placed in the model, or by selecting any geometry and making it a lamp, by right clicking on the geometry and selecting the IRender/Make Lamp menu choice.

We tried to explain the various ways of placing and making lamps here:

Please let us know if you have any question about making lamps, or if you have any hints for us to make it easier to learn how to do it.

Thanks,

Rich

If you make your component a light and save it into a library, then the lighting settings will be saved for use in other models
