I have purchased RPS 3D PDF and tried to install it into Sketchup 7.1. The install goes fine but when I launch Sketchup and go to plugins and click on rp3dpdf:load nothing happens. Several months ago I had installed RPS 3D PDF as a trial in Sketchup 7.1 and it worked great. Now that I purchased the program it won't work. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Sam

Look under View/Toolbars and make sure that RPS 3D PDF is checked to display.
Also, try opening the Ruby Console window, "Window/Ruby Console", before clicking on Plugins/Rps3dRdf:Load, and see if any error messages are displayed.
Hi Rich,
Under View, Toolbars there is no RPS 3D toolbar to display. Here is a screenshot of the ruby console after I click on rp3dpdf:load
Rich I may have misunderstood your instructions. If I open the Ruby Console it is empty. I then click on rp3dpdf:load and the screen shot I up loaded earlier is what appears in the Ruby Console window.
When you reinstalled RPS 3D PDF, did you reinstall it a second time, making sure that you were pointed to the SketchUp 7 folder when it asks you to verify the folder to install the ruby files?
Below it defaults to SketchUp 8 for me, since I have SketchUp 8 installed. In order to install it for SketchUp 7, I need to browse to the SketchUp 7 folder and select that.
Rich
I too have sketchup 8 on my system but use 7 99.9% of the time. Yes I did choose the sketchup 7 folder when it installed. After the initial install the program worked and let me register it. But when I closed Sketchup and reopened it later in the day the toolbar was gone. I then went to plugins and clicked on Rps3dRdf:Load but nothing happened. After that did not work I used the Render Plus Install wizard to uninstall 3D pdf. I then went to the Sketchup 7 folder and could not find any parts of 3D pdf. I then done a new install but have the same results. I then went to your website and downloaded the most recent version and tried an install with the same results.
I just installed SketchUp 7.1 on my laptop and reinstalled RPS 3D PDF. It works fine for me in SketchUp 7.
Al,
the error he is getting is a trace statement in line 67 of rps3dpdf_start.rb.
trace("START_RP3DPDF bload_dll: %s", bload_dll)
"wrong number of arguments (2 for 0)"
Any ideas on why the trace statement may not be defined for him?
We posted a new version with a fix for this.
Please download and try it see if doesn't work for you now.
Rich, that fixed it. Thanks for the great support.
